PRIVACY AND ACCEPTABLE USE

IPTVu respects your library and your rights

Free iPhone edition — version 1.1.16

The free iPhone edition of IPTVu is provided by Irisholdingsbuddy Inc. Contact: info@iptvu.org. This section was updated on 22 September 2026. The Android and Google Play purchase descriptions below do not apply to this iPhone edition.

IPTVu stores playlists and preferences on your device. Provider passwords are stored in Apple Keychain. When you connect to a playlist, stream, artwork, or programme guide, the app contacts the supplying server. That service receives network requests and applies its own privacy practices.

This free iPhone edition does not offer in-app purchases, require a membership, or request subscription information.

Optional technical reports contain the app version, iOS version, and error codes with counts from the current session. They exclude stream URLs, passwords, account details, channel and movie names, and viewing history. Nothing is sent automatically. You may review the report and open an email draft; you decide whether to send it. Support sees your email address when you send an email. Declining reports does not limit the app, and turning the option off does not recall previously sent emails.

Free Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision editions

IPTVu Player for macOS 1.6.12, tvOS 1.1.16 and visionOS 1.1.16 is provided by Irisholdingsbuddy Inc. This section was updated on 23 September 2026. These editions have no in-app purchases, membership requirement or subscription checks. The Google Play purchase descriptions below do not apply to these editions.

Playlists, preferences, favorites, recent items and cached library and guide data are stored locally on the device. Provider passwords and supported app and parental PIN information use Apple Keychain. Where optional Sign in with Apple is available for the app lock, Apple's app-scoped user identifier is stored in Keychain to recognize the account enrolled for unlocking. This does not create an IPTV provider subscription.

Adding a source, loading artwork or guide and catalog data, and playing or recording supported media sends requests directly to the chosen server. The server receives the network request, IP address and any credentials required by that source. Its terms and privacy practices apply. Optional demonstrations connect to IPTVu.org and the media URLs in the demonstration playlist; hosting providers can maintain ordinary access and security logs as described in the website section.

Supported recordings and exports are saved locally to the destination chosen by the user. The Mac app uses Downloads as its default recording destination and also supports a user-selected folder. Exporting or sharing a file is controlled by the user.

These apps do not automatically send technical reports to Irisholdingsbuddy Inc. Where optional reviewed reports are available, they contain app and operating-system versions and error codes with counts, excluding source URLs, credentials, channel and title names, and viewing history. You decide whether to send information to support; email reveals your email address and any information you include.

Android edition and website

Effective 10 September 2026. IPTVu is a product of IrisBuddy Incorporated. Contact: info@iptvu.org.

User-supplied sources and optional demonstrations

IPTVu is technology for organizing and playing sources supplied by the user. IPTVu does not provide commercial television packages, provider accounts or rights to third-party media. The website offers optional on-demand demonstration videos and a demonstration playlist to explain the player. Credits and source information are provided on the demo credits page. Other sources are supplied by the user; IPTVu does not verify or endorse them. An IPTVu app subscription unlocks app functionality only; it does not include media or access to an IPTV provider.

Your responsibility and acceptable use

You must be legally entitled and authorized to access every source you add. You must not use IPTVu to infringe copyright or other rights, evade access controls, violate a provider's terms, or break applicable law. Accepting these terms is not proof that a source is lawful, and IPTVu cannot verify your rights. If you are uncertain, obtain permission from the relevant rights holder or provider before using the source.

Information stored by the Android app

Sources, provider login details, imported playlist files, favorites, collections, app and parental PIN hashes, viewing recents, and app preferences are stored locally on the device. Protected library data is encrypted with Android Keystore. The app disables Android backup and device transfer for this data. You can remove a source in the app, clear recent channels in Settings, or uninstall IPTVu to remove local app data.

Connections to providers you choose

When you add or play a source, request guide information, load artwork, browse a provider catalogue, or record a supported stream, the app connects directly to the provider or address you selected. That third party receives network requests, your IP address, and any credentials required for its service. Its privacy practices and terms apply independently. IrisBuddy Incorporated does not receive or operate those provider connections.

Subscriptions and payments

Google Play handles purchases, trial eligibility, recurring billing, renewal, cancellation, and payment information under Google's terms and privacy policy. IPTVu checks Play purchase status to determine app access. The app does not receive or store complete payment-card information. Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day trial; the price and availability shown by Google Play at checkout are authoritative.

Analytics, advertising, and diagnostics

The Android app contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or tracking SDK. It does not automatically send a diagnostic report. If you enable optional reviewed reports, the app prepares app and Android versions and counted playback error codes while excluding source URLs, credentials, account details, channel and title names, and viewing history. You decide whether to send that text using your email app; your email address is visible to support when you send a message.

Website enquiries

The website's contact or trial form asks for your name, email address, preferred platform, and an optional message. Do not send passwords, playlist addresses, payment information, or other sensitive details. We use the information to respond to the enquiry. A website enquiry does not itself create a paid subscription or add you to a general marketing list.

The website is hosted by Hostinger. Form submissions are stored outside the public website directory and forwarded to our contact mailbox. Website enquiry records are removed after 90 days; cleanup runs when a valid submission is received. Email correspondence may be kept as needed to handle the enquiry or meet applicable obligations. The form uses a session cookie that expires after one hour and a keyed one-way representation of an IP address for abuse prevention with a 48-hour window. Hosting providers may maintain ordinary security and access logs. The website does not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

Children

IPTVu is a general-audience media-player utility and is not directed to children. Parents and guardians are responsible for the sources available on a device and can use the app's PIN and parental-protection controls. Do not provide personal information about a child through the website enquiry form.

Security and limits

We use platform security controls intended to protect locally stored app data, but no device, network, or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep provider credentials and device access protected, install official updates, and contact us if you believe the app or website has a security issue.

Your choices and contact

You may request access, correction, or deletion of website enquiry information by emailing info@iptvu.org. App library data remains under your control on your device and can be removed as described above. Privacy, copyright, security, and legal enquiries can be sent to the same address.
